In banks we trust - No idea why?

Park Silicon Valley a moment.. now think about the soaring new Gold Prices - almost 99% of all SunnahCurrency customers are in profit.. Why?

The banks are failing us!

As per recent news, a comprehensive list of bank branches that are scheduled to close down in the current year has been released, and a startling revelation is that scores of banking customers are set to lose access to their nearby branches. The reason behind these widespread closures is the growing trend towards digital and online banking, which is gradually making brick-and-mortar branches obsolete. While most people have adapted to the new digital era, there are still many, particularly the elderly, who are dependent on in-person banking services.

The UK's cash machine network, LINK, has been closely monitoring and recording any planned closures of bank branches across the country. Their website indicates that as many as 242 branches are set to be closed in 2023, and a significant number of them have already been shuttered this year. The leading banks, such as Barclays, HSBC, NatWest, Lloyds Bank, TSB, Halifax, Santander, Nationwide, and Virgin Money, have already announced their plans to shut down multiple branches. For instance, Barclays is set to close down 54 branches, whereas NatWest is planning to shut down 52 of its branches. In addition, HSBC is closing down 114 of its branches, while Lloyds Bank and TSB are shuttering 23 and 9 branches, respectively. Furthermore, Halifax is closing down 23 branches, while Santander is closing down five of its branches.

In case your nearby bank branch is among the ones that are scheduled to be closed, you can still access basic banking services at your local post office. Moreover, many banks are offering mobile banking services that bring banking services to your doorstep. For instance, some banks run a mobile banking bus that travels around the town, offering various banking services. Others use public buildings, such as village halls or libraries, to offer mobile banking services. You can contact your bank to inquire about its mobile banking services and find out where and when the banking bus will be available.

To summarise, the list of the 242 bank branches that are scheduled to be closed is alarming news for those who rely on in-person banking services. However, the growing trend towards digital and online banking has made these closures inevitable. Nevertheless, banks are offering various alternatives to compensate for the loss of brick-and-mortar branches, such as mobile banking services and post office banking services:
